WHEELING — The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley is pleased to announce that more than 100 area students have been awarded scholarships totaling $233,254 to support their education at colleges and universities across the country.

CFOV administers more than 70 scholarship funds, each with set criteria and a competitive application process, designed to assist students in CFOV’s eight-county service area. Depending on the criteria, scholarships are awarded to high school seniors or students currently enrolled in college. These opportunities are made possible by generous donors who have established funds to demonstrate their commitment to higher education.

“We love this time of year when we award scholarships and celebrate the achievements of this year’s winners,” said Susie Nelson, CFOV Executive Director. “Every scholarship awarded is a testament to the hard work and potential of these remarkable students. Every dollar awarded is an investment in the future of our community.”
