11 Hudson County Restaurants Win 2024 Wine Spectator Awards

Did you know Weehawken has a restaurant scene? Check out which places to eat in Hoboken, Jersey City, and more have been recognized by Wine Spectator.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Hudson County is clearly a destination for restaurants, if the awards handed out by Wine Spectator Magazine last month are any indication.

The magazine recently unveiled its 2024 restaurant awards, which recognize eateries across the country for their cuisine and wine lists.

In total, there were 11 places to eat in Hudson County on the list. That’s pretty impressive, especially considering Bergen County is larger and only has 10 (check them out here).

This year, awards were presented to 3,777 dining establishments from all 50 states and more than 75 countries.

In Hudson County, they weren’t just centered in the popular commuter towns of Hoboken and Jersey City. Weehawken had two restaurants on the list. West New York and North Bergen each had one.

“Launched in 1981, the Restaurant Awards represent the world’s only program focused exclusively on restaurant wine service,” the publication said last week. “They are awarded at three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence and the Grand Award.”
