Nebraska gets 2025 commitment from 4-star DL, No. 1 player from North Dakota

Nebraska added another commitment to its 2025 recruiting class on Sunday, adding a blue-chip lineman from North Dakota to the Huskers.

Kade Pietrzak has committed to playing for Matt Rhule’s program. He shared the big news on social media on Sunday.

Coming out of West Fargo (North Dakota) High School, Pietrzak is 6-4, 250 pounds. A four-star prospect, Pietrzak is the No. 1 player in the state of North Dakota, the No. 35 defensive lineman and the No. 321 prospect overall in the 2025 recruiting class by the 247Sports Composite.

Pietrzak is a coveted recruit, drawing interest from Power Conference programs coast to coast. He was offered scholarship offers by 27 programs before committing to Nebraska. Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Iowa, Miami, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Stanford, Texas A&M, USC, UCLA and Washington are among the programs that showed interest during the process.

Pietrzak has narrowed his focus over the past two months, visiting Nebraska, Wisconsin, Oklahoma and Kansas State in May and June.

During his visit to campus in Lincoln, Pietrzak wore number 55, giving Husker fans a preview of what he’ll look like in the team’s red and black jersey.

With Pietrzak on board, Nebraska now has 17 verbal commitments in its 2025 recruiting class. Pietrzak is the fourth Husker pledge of the month, joining 3-star S Jeremiah Jones (July 1), 3-star OT Shawn Hammerbeck (July 3) and 4-star CB Bryson Webber (July 14).
