Three dead after car flies through air and hits another car in Slippery Rock Township, Pennsylvania on State Route 65

SLIPPERY ROCK Twp., Pa. (WKBN) — Three people were killed in a car crash in Lawrence County Saturday morning.

According to a press release from the Pennsylvania State Police, the car was traveling southbound in Slippery Rock Township on State Route 65 near Houge Road around 12:30 p.m.


The car crossed the center line, then hit two utility poles and a nearby parked car.

The car shot through the air and crashed into a tree before landing.

The driver and two of the three passengers died at the scene.

The other passenger was taken by air ambulance to UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh for extensive medical treatment, the report said.

An investigation is ongoing.
