BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WBOY) — An overnight vehicle accident on I-79 North caused lane closures and multiple injuries.

According to the Harrison County 911 log the accident occurred at 11:26 pm on Saturday, July 20 at mile marker 121 near the Meadowbrook Road exit. The Northbound lanes were closed while responding departments were on scene.

Two patients were transported to the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. 911 officials could not confirm how many vehicles were involved, the conditions of the patients or how they were transported.

Bridgeport and Anmoore fire departments, along with the Bridgeport Police Department and EMS responded to this call.
