82-year-old Vermont woman missing under suspicious circumstances; police ask for public’s help – Crime Online

A Vermont woman went missing under suspicious circumstances Wednesday afternoon.

NBC reports that Roberta Martin, 82, disappeared Wednesday from her home on Butternut Hollow Road in Enosburg, Vermont. Neighbors checked on her just before noon and found her missing.

The last time Martin’s family heard from her was Tuesday evening.

On Friday morning, the Vermont State Police Crime Scene Search Team executed a search warrant at the home and property adjacent to Martin’s home on Butternut Hollow Road.

“Investigators have obtained information that indicates that Ms. Martin’s disappearance is suspicious. In order to ensure the integrity of the investigation, VSP cannot comment further on the evidence that led to this conclusion at this time,” the VSP press release said.

The VSP press release also calls on the public for help:

“State Police would like to speak with anyone who may have traveled through the area of Sand Hill Road and Butternut Hollow Road between 10 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16 and 12 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, who may have relevant information. If you have information, call the St. Albans Barracks at 802-524-5993 to speak with an investigator. People can also submit anonymous tips online at https://vsp.vermont.gov/tipsubmit.”

According to police, Martin is in good physical and mental health.
