Michael Vick Says What Everyone Is Thinking About Virginia Tech Football in 2024

When Virginia Tech football hired Brent Pry, they knew it would take time for the hype to return to the program. As we move into year 3 of the Brent Pry era, it’s safe to say the hype is back a little sooner than originally thought.

With a slew of retainers from the 2023 team, including key players on both sides of the ball, Virginia Tech could be one of the outsiders in the ACC this season. People nationwide are starting to catch on to what the Hokies and the upcoming season entail, and one former Hokie legend is excited about the 2024 campaign, too.

Former Virginia Tech legend Michael Vick spoke about the Hokies and the upcoming season on Saturday and it’s safe to say that he is excited about the season and watch quarterback Kyron Drones and see what he can do in his second season in Blacksburg.

“Coach Pry has done a great job and the entire coaching staff has made sure we stay on track. I feel good about this season. We have some great players coming back. I’m looking forward to some great quarterback play from Kyron Drones and the rest of those guys. We know the defense is going to be up to par, the offense has made some big strides. It takes all three phases of the game, but the most important thing is we’re getting better every day.”

If anyone knows how great quarterback play is, it’s Vick. Drones will certainly be the focal point of the offense, but he has a lot of players in the backfield and on the outside who can make plays, making them unpredictable this season. Defensively, the Hokies have a ton of talent returning and when you put it all together, it’s shaping up to be an exciting year in Blacksburg and Vick sees that.
