“That’s not a good boss”

Cyndi Lauper didn’t hold back when asked about her feelings for Donald Trump. The singer, who is 71, recently visited CNN, where she discussed her experiences with the former president, who is 78, during the third season of “The Celebrity Apprentice.”

“What was he like (on The Apprentice)?” the journalist asked Trump, who recently survived an assassination attempt. “Well, that show allowed us to do the ‘Give a D—‘ campaign. I was disappointed when the most important thing was learning leadership and learning how to be a good boss,” Cyndi explained.

“When he was on The Apprentice, there was a huge LGBTQ+ community that worked for him and helped him be successful. And then he came out with all this anti-LGBTQ+ stuff and I was surprised because I didn’t think that was what he wanted to show us about how to be a good boss. That’s not a good boss,” the “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” hitmaker added.

Recently, Cyndi, who has won two Grammy Awards, was not the only one to criticize Trump’s actions on the competition show. Others came to the same conclusion.

In a new book published on June 18 and titled “Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glass,” it was reported that the father of five would throw tantrums during filming.

“As time went on, he became particular about having to wait on the set of The Apprentice at all. If he arrived and the cameras weren’t ready to film his scene, he’d storm out and return hours later, just to prove a point. In order to track his whereabouts in real time, members of the show’s transportation team were assigned to follow Trump when he took his own car,” the clip reads, according to Variety.

“Easier said than done. As one driver explained, it was an occupational hazard to follow Trump as he sped toward his golf course in Briarcliff Manor. Trump ignored the red light, stepped on the gas, and left other cars in the dust,” the report continued.

In addition, Trump frequently made statements during the race that were inappropriate for female candidates, particularly Jennifer Murphy. One of the contestants, Randal Pinkett, revealed in the book how Trump often spoke inappropriately about Murphy in front of him and the other contestants.

“I thought it was inappropriate, and because I don’t know Donald as well as I do now, it was shocking in some ways. This was a business show about business people. There’s no place for that kind of conversation in a business context. It was unacceptable,” Randall admitted.

“It was mostly among the men, where he’d say, ‘Oh, she’s pretty. Oh, I’d love to sleep with her.’ Jennifer Murphy — that’s what he was talking about,” the “The Apprentice” winner added.
