42 seconds agoUtah Jazz guard Russell Westbrook was released by the team on Saturday. He was recently acquired in a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers for Kris Dunn. The move was expected all along, however, with the veteran expected to sign with the Denver Nuggets after clearing waivers. Westbrook finished the 2023-24 season averaging a career-low 11.1 points to go with 5.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.1 steals. While he isn’t expected to start routinely for the Nuggets, he could see enough minutes to be relevant from a fantasy standpoint, especially with Denver’s lack of options off the bench. Jamal Murray has also missed time with various injuries over the years, so Westbrook could also make some appearances with the starting five this season.—Dennis Clausen – RotoBaller
