‘A Very Vermont Christmas’ is about Joy, the former champion skier who returns to her hometown to help her mother, who is struggling to pay the bills.

Joy hears about an upcoming Brew-Ski competition from her ex-boyfriend Greg and sees this as an opportunity to breathe new life into their pub, Frosty.

While skiing, she meets a cute guy named Zac, who works for Scholz Beer and also happens to be Frosty’s beer distributor. Joy offers him skiing lessons, while in return he helps her create a seasonal microbrewery.

As Joy runs her Brew-Ski competition and tries to revive her business, she and Zac grow closer and develop a bond.

The film’s official synopsis reads: “A local Vermont ski champion and brewmaster teams up with an unlikely match to create a seasonal microbrewery to save her family’s business before Christmas.”

Katie Leclerc

Katie Leclerc will star as Joy in Hallmark’s upcoming Christmas movie.

She began her career in 2005 with a small role in ‘Veronica Mars’, followed by appearances in popular TV series such as ‘The Big Bang Theory’ and ‘NCIS’.

Leclerc starred in ABC’s family drama “Switched at Birth,” which aired from 2011 to 2017. Her last appearance was in Hallmark’s 2023 film “Letters to Santa.”

Ryan McPartlin

Ryan McPartlin, 49, plays Zac, Joy’s love interest in “A Very Vermont Christmas.” The Chicago-born actor is best known for his role as Devon Woodcomb, aka Captain Awesome, in the action comedy series “Chuck” (2007-2012).

He also starred in ‘Sequestered’, ‘LA’s Finest’ and ‘CSI: Miami’.
