This Week in Texas: Tribute to Sheila Jackson Lee, Feud with Beryl, and Presidential Candidacy of ‘Literally Anybody Else’

In an all-new episode of This Week in Texas, ABC13 looks back at the life of Democratic Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.

Next, the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl and a class action lawsuit against energy company Centerpoint are discussed.

“Centerpoint doesn’t know,” said attorney Tony Buzbee. “They don’t know their grid.”

Two leading Republican politicians share their thoughts on Beryl and the Republican National Convention, in light of the attempted assassination of former President Trump and the divisive political rhetoric plaguing our democratic republic.

“You’ve got to turn the temperature down,” said Republican Congressman Dan Crenshaw. “And you’ve got to stop acting like you’re in a war, especially since you’ve never been in one.”

Finally, a man from Texas who has officially changed his name to Literally Everyone Else is running for President of the United States.

“It’s not necessarily about drawing attention to my grievances,” Mr. Else said. “But about providing a place for everyone who shares those grievances to come together to a central point.”

He reveals his choice for the vice presidency during a conversation about his candidacy.
