CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) – Like the look of the South Carolina Highway Patrol cruisers? Your vote could help them win a statewide calendar contest.

SC Highway Patrol competes annually in a contest to find America’s most beautiful cruiser, featuring the 2024 Ford Mustang and the 2023 Ford F-150.

“We compete with all the other state agencies across the country to get on the calendar,” Trooper Nick Pye said. “The top 13 vehicles make it into the calendar. That calendar goes on sale and helps the families of state troopers with educational scholarships.”

The agency has participated in the calendar competition every year, with their highest placement being 14 in 2023.

According to Officer Pye, this year’s photo was taken in Charleston and features the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge as a backdrop for the Ford Mustang and F-150.

The 13 states that receive the most votes between July 15 and 29 will be listed on the calendar and the winner will be placed on the cover. The contest is run by the American Association of State Troopers.
