Melissa Gorga sympathizes with her Bravo colleague Kyle Richards.

On Thursday, July 18th, the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member, 45, brought a new Starring Melissa Gorga podcast episode titled “Been There, Done That” with her husband Joe Gorga.

During their conversation, Melissa said she was surprised to find out that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills The 55-year-old actress and her husband Mauricio Umansky finally split after 27 years of marriage after the realtor, 54, was photographed kissing another woman at Mykonos airport, Greece, on July 16.

“Have you seen this on Instagram today? Oh my God. I saw Mauricio kissing a new girl,” Melissa said.

When she described the photo to her husband, she added that she couldn’t tell from the paparazzi photo whether the woman was a “younger girl,” but added that “she looks like a pretty girl.”

“But she leans over and hugs him and they look like they’re so happy to greet each other in an airport. And I think it’s in Greece,” Melissa said. “He arrived in Greece in Mykonos or something, and she was there waiting for him at the airport.”

Although news of Richards and Umansky’s split has been public for a year, Melissa explains why she was shocked when she saw the photo of him embracing the other woman, who has since been identified as actress Nikita Kahn.

“Just to see another woman hug one of my friends’ husbands, you know, Joe, we’ve been out to dinner with them many times,” the reality star said. “We’ve — it was kind of sad.”

Melissa added that they both “probably” would have moved on with their lives if “he does it in public,” but it still wasn’t something she expected to see.

“But I couldn’t help but think about Kyle, and I thought, ‘Wow. This kind of s— really happens.’ Like these long-lasting, amazing marriages that you think are going to last forever,” she said of the former couple.

Richards and Umansky married in 1996 and have daughters Alexia (28), Sophia (24) and Portia (16). Richards is also the mother of daughter Farrah Brittany (35) from her previous marriage to Guraish Aldjufrie.

“Joe, kind of like you and me. Right?” Melissa asked her husband, comparing their relationship.

The two married in 2004 and have three children: Antonia, 18, Gino, 16, and Joey, 14.

“They break up. And then you see them miraculously kissing other people in airports, and you’re like, ‘Wow.’ You just can’t believe it,” Melissa said.

On Friday, July 19, a few days after the kissing photo made headlines, Richards removed the word “wife” from her Instagram bio. It now reads “mother, actor, author, producer, animal lover, a RHOBH.”
