Here’s Where Most Voters Back JD Vance

This week, former President Donald Trump announced his choice for vice president at the Republican National Convention (RNC): Senator JD Vance (R) of Ohio.

After his announcement, the country had mixed feelings about Vance as Trump’s buddy, given the Ohio senator’s previous comments about Trump.

However, according to a Rasmussen Reports survey, voters are increasingly warming to a Trump-Vance candidate.

The poll found Vance with a 51 percent approval rating, a far cry from the 32 percent who disapprove of the Hillbilly elegy next to Trump, which gives him a 19-point lead.

In 2021, Trump endorsed Vance for Senate, who went on to win the Republican primary and the general election.

When looking at demographics, more men are positive about Vance than women (54-47 percent), but it’s still more of a pro than a con.

Meanwhile, 40 percent of black voters and 55 percent of Hispanic voters favor Vance.

Among independent voters, 48 percent support Vance as Trump’s running mate, while only 29 percent disapprove.

On Friday, Vance rebuffed Democrats who called on the president to withdraw from the 2024 race, citing concerns about his cognitive health. This comes as 30 Democrats in Congress are urging Biden to withdraw and let Vice President Kamala Harris take his place.

But no Democracy has asked the 81-year-old president to step down before the end of his term.

Vance said that if Biden doesn’t have the “cognitive functions” to stay in the race, he’s “certainly” not stable enough to be in office right now.

At the Republican National Convention (RNC), Vance attempted to appeal to America’s working class by sharing stories about his childhood in Ohio, where he grew up in poverty and whose mother struggled with drug addiction for decades.

He promised that the Trump-Vance administration would create economic opportunities for the American working class.

“In Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and in every corner of our country, I promise you this: I will be a vice president who never forgets where he came from,” Vance said. “And every day for the next four years, when I step into that White House to help President Trump, I will do it for you, for your family, for your future, and for this great country.”
