Arizona has three players projected as first-round picks in the 2025 NFL Draft

The Arizona Wildcats may have as much NFL talent on their 2024 roster as any other team in the United States.

Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski has three Arizona players projected as first-round picks in the 2025 NFL Draft: wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan at No. 8 to the New Orleans Saints, offensive tackle Jonah Savaiinaea at No. 23 to the Los Angeles Rams and cornerback Tacario Davis at No. 28 to the Buffalo Bills.

Arizona will play its first year in the Big 12 Conference in 2024 as one of four teams joining the league from the Pac-12 Conference, along with Arizona State, Colorado and Utah.

McMillan, a 6-foot-5, 205-pound guard, is seen as a top 10 pick in most mock drafts after posting 90 receptions for 1,402 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2023.

From Bleacher Report: “This particular pairing will depend on what the New Orleans Saints plan to do at quarterback. Derek Carr has two years left on his current contract after next season ends. Either the Saints move on from Carr or try to replace him. With three quarterbacks already out, the organization is opting for the former. That way, the Saints can maximize Carr’s remaining time by surrounding him with the best talent possible. Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan could be a Marques Colston-style target. McMillan is a 6’5″ receiver who should fit in well next to the smaller Chris Olave and the speedy Rashid Shaheed (if he re-signs).”

Arizona opens the season on August 31 with a home game against New Mexico.
